Leo the Khazar

Emperor Leo the Khazar was half Turkic as his mother was a Khazar. His father was emperor Constantine V the most prolific emperor general who dealt with the unstoppable Bulgars and with his father stopped a huge Arab advance in Asia Minor at the battle of Akroinon.

Leo got married to Irene Sarantapechaina, aka Irene of Athens. He didn't leave a lasting impact in Byzantine history as his rule was short-lived.
